Agenda

Preventing Forced Displacement and Ethnic Persecution: Protecting Minority Rights and Ensuring Accountability Under International Law

About the committee

About UNHRC

The United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) works to protect the rights and freedoms of people around the world. It addresses issues such as discrimination, inequality, and human rights violations. In this committee, delegates discuss global problems, share ideas, and suggest practical solutions to protect people’s rights and promote fairness, equality, and justice for all.

Agenda background

Forced displacement and ethnic persecution force people to leave their homes because of their identity, ethnicity, or beliefs. This agenda focuses on protecting vulnerable minority communities, preventing discrimination and persecution, and holding those responsible accountable under international law. Delegates will explore practical solutions to ensure the safety, rights, and dignity of affected populations through international cooperation.
